The Brief
Gilbey’s is a bar and restaurant located in Eton High Street, just across the bridge from Windsor Castle. They were looking for a new website to showcase their wide range of services that include a full bar and restaurant, private dining rooms, meeting rooms, and guest accommodation.
As well as including plenty of eye-catching images, they wanted the website to be modern, easy to navigate, and with an attractive design.
The Solution
It’seeze owner Ann Naylor worked with the it’seeze design team to craft a new website for Gilbey’s that was both informative and user-friendly. The site incorporated all of the information that Gilbey’s wanted to share with visitors in a way that was easy to find and navigate.
The home page on the new site features fading images of the bar, restaurant, and one of the guest bedrooms. The movement of the images helps to capture the attention of website visitors and gives them a quick overview of the high-quality service they can expect at Gilbey’s. The home page features a booking widget, which allows customers to reserve tables directly without having to call or email.
This makes it easy for customers to book a table, and it also helps Gilbey Group to manage their bookings more effectively. In addition to the information on the homepage, each service has its own dedicated page where customers can find more detailed information and a wider selection of photos. The site also features plenty of animation, such as fading images at the top of each page. And the Accommodation page allows customers to book their rooms online with ease.
The Outcome
The new Gilbey Group website is not only a fabulous showcase for their menus, wines, accommodation, private dining, and meeting rooms, but it also makes it easier for customers to make reservations for both dining and guest rooms. Gilbey's were delighted with their new website, and took to social media to express their excitement, saying "We hope you love it as much as we do!"
